The Pelican Drop is an annual tradition in Pensacola, and its 25,000-plus crowds make the festival a must-see every year. This family event is a great way to ring in the New Year. The festivities will include live music on three stages, with performances from Andy Grammar on the Main Stage, Musical Fantasy on the Go Pensacola Stage, and Bad Habits and Mo Jiles on the CAT Country stage. For a non-musical family celebration, there is also a bubble stomp and a booze stomp.
The city’s public schools are run by the Escambia County School District. There are two high schools in Pensacola, J. M. Tate High School, and Pine Forest High School.
